RE: Evans vs. Brown
I tried to call you about the above case, but learned that you were out of town and would not return until Wednesday. You wrote to me on June 1 to ask what authority I have or to get to settle this case, and we discussed the matter on June 3. I have discussed the matter with my client and I now have authority to offer $28,500 to settle the case. Hopefully, we are now in a position to affect final disposition of this case. My file indicates that $1703.00 of the plaintiff medical expenses was paid by Hines Causality Company.
You indicated that you may want to Louisiana to take the defendant disposition and I would be happy to accede. I shall not go, but I will arrange for local counsel to appear the disposition.
I note that we have several cases set for trail, but this case is not on the list. If we are unable to affect the settlement, I hope we can get the case on trial docket at least by October or November.

Read and compare VERY CAREFULLY. Your original had too much repetition, too many wrong words, and word choice, spelling, and punctuation errors. Before you post again, be sure to read your writing ALOUD to someone or have someone read it ALOUD to you so you can catch the tiny errors -- such as trial/trail, affect/effect mixups and missing words.
