Hey guys this is about my previous question:

I have trouble finding two texts that DISPLAY intolerance against gender, sexual activity, race/culture, disabled people etc.

So, for instance a poem about the hatred for black people or the way the a 'Ku Klux Klan' member shows his intolerance for homosexuals or black people. (I'm just making up the examples, not trying to be offensive).

Need two different texts:
short stories, newspaper/magazine articles, song lyrics, plays, films, artwork, advertisement, novel, cartoons and/or poems.

Pleeeeaassee help!! :( :(

I've never heard of anything like this in poetry or short stories. There may be some, but I've never read it.

However, if you want to read the work of two poets and a novelist, you'll find how they combatted those ugly attitudes.

You are asking for examples of mean people? I am more interested in your etc category. Does that include liberal Democrats? Does that include socialists? Does that include Atheists? Does it include pregnant teens?

Mean people are mean, period. Often they are ethnocentric (look that word up), and often they are of limited civility (look that word up). http://allpoetry.com/poem/422021

And often, hate is just generated within a person looking for perfection in the world, and seeing themselves.

Now to your question: I am not really certain what you want.

Read these, by Langston Hughes:

and

Then read the rest of his that are linked here:

You should pick up on his theme quite easily. What does this body of work tell you about how HE was treated? Be sure to read that biography, too.

Read through these, too. Thanks to GuruBlue:

I understand that you are looking for two texts that display intolerance against gender, sexual activity, race/culture, and disabled people. Here are some ways you can find such texts:

1. Online searches: Start by conducting online searches using keywords related to your topic. For example, search for phrases like "text displaying intolerance against [specific group of people]." You can specify the type of text you are looking for by including terms like "poem," "short story," "advertisement," etc. Make sure to critically evaluate the sources you find to ensure you are using reputable and appropriate materials.

2. Literature databases: Explore academic databases, such as JSTOR or Google Scholar, which host a vast collection of scholarly articles and publications. You can search for keywords related to your topic and filter the results by publication types like poems, short stories, or essays.

3. Library resources: Local libraries often have a wide selection of books, magazines, and newspapers that cover a range of topics. Librarians can assist you in finding relevant materials, such as novels, plays, or articles that discuss intolerance or discrimination.

4. Social awareness campaigns: Look for social awareness campaigns or organizations that address issues related to intolerance and discrimination. They might have created specific texts, advertisements, or artworks to raise awareness about these topics. Explore their websites, online platforms, or campaigns to find relevant materials.

Remember, it's important to approach these texts with sensitivity and critical analysis. While they may contain intolerant viewpoints, it doesn't mean you endorse or support those perspectives. The goal should be to analyze and understand how such intolerance is represented and the impact it can have on society.
