Is the smallest country in Africa Equatorial Guinea? Or could it possibly be Djibouti?
I looked and it also could be Seychelles? I am confused...please help.

The only problem is that Mayotte is not off the northwest coast of Gabon. Mayotte is a dependency of France -- so may not be considered a country.
It looks like Sao Tome is the right answer.
