I need help with this question:

equipment based on :

the equipment.

D) the opportunity for challenge
presented by the equipment.

This is what my text states:

Children will generally select equipment
with which they can have the greatest
success and will vary their choices
according to need and developmental
progression.

So,would the best answer be:

(A)their prior success with the
equipment

(or)

(D) the opportunity for challenge
presented by the equipment

I am thinking A is the best answer.
