Warm.
My prime example is the guest house we stayed at in Inverness, Scotland. It's latitude is about the same as Hudson Bay that has virtually no growing season. Yet our Scottish host told us that he tries to keep the beautiful roses in his background going until almost Christmas. Ah -- the joys of the Gulf Stream!
