Would doctor be a career? Like what does it mean specifically by careers?

Does it mean jobs?

Yes, a career is a job. Medicine, engineering, business administration, teaching, sales, and building trades are all examples of careers.

This is an excellent reference for careers/occupations.

It can mean jobs, but more than that, it means what you want to do for your lifetime. I have had several jobs, including cashiering at a dry cleaners, making popcorn and taking admissions at a city pool, keeping records for a tractor repair business, and other things, but non were ever intended to be my career.

The career I studied for and earned degrees and credentials for was teaching English in secondary schools (grades 7-12). I've held several jobs within that, including teaching 9th and 12th grade English, developing and teaching courses for students transitioning out of ESL courses into "regular" English courses, and other specialties within the category of "English teacher."

Thanks, so for engineering, what type of math would have to be involved. Does that site list types of engineering courses?

I'm sure engineers take a lot of math courses.

Check some of these sites.

Yes, a doctor is indeed a career. The term "careers" generally refers to a person's chosen occupation or profession, encompassing the jobs or positions that one pursues as part of that profession. In the case of a doctor, it can be considered both a career and a job.

A career typically implies a long-term commitment to a specific field or profession, wherein an individual advances their knowledge, skills, and experience over time. It involves not only the job itself but also the professional growth, development, and achievement of goals within that field. In the case of a doctor, it would entail acquiring the necessary education, training, and licensing to practice medicine, as well as dedicating oneself to providing healthcare to patients over the course of one's professional life.
