To find the reciprocal of a fraction, you simply take the reciprocal of the whole number and the reciprocal of the fraction separately.

To help you find the reciprocal of 5 3/4, follow these steps:

Step 1: Convert the mixed number to an improper fraction.
5 3/4 equals (5 * 4 + 3)/4 = 23/4.

Step 2: Find the reciprocal of the whole number and the reciprocal of the fraction.
The reciprocal of 5 is 1/5, and the reciprocal of 23/4 is 4/23.

Step 3: Combine the two reciprocals.
1/5 + 4/23 = (1 * 23 + 4 * 5)/(5 * 23) = (23 + 20)/115 = 43/115.

Therefore, the reciprocal of 5 3/4 is 43/115.
