i need help on " what does seek to serve mean to you?"

To me, "seek to serve" means to look for ways to help others.

What does it mean to you?

I remember several years ago, a math teach had the flu, a bad case, she had a husband overseas, and all four children, including one infant, all sick for several days. Life was compounding for her.

Saturday, at 7 am, one of her HS math students (Frieda), knocked on her door. the Teacher, pale, sick, weak, opened the door, and surprisingly asked "Frieda, what are you doing here?". Frieda responded..."I am here to clean your house". And so she did, for four hours, all rooms, kitchen, baths, laundry, did it all. Not many HS girls would do this for one of their teachers.

Have you ever sought out an opportunity to serve others?

To me seek to serve means to me that i should go out and serve the church and community, or and oganization.

But i don't know if that is what it means and thank you for what seek to serve means and for the example.
