1) The wind is personified as a tired man, who like a guest, knocks at Emily Dickinson's door and asks her to enter.

2) Being invisible, there is no point in giving him a chair (it is no use giving him a chair)
3) Through his poem Davies wants to stress the fact that nowadays people have no time to admire nature’s beauty.
4)The mirror is described as truthful and loyal (as being truthful)
5) The mirror thinks he (the mirror which is personified) is important to the woman who owns it.
6) Study the definitions of the figures of speech again and rewrite them in your exercise book at least twice.Don’t replace unknown words with made-up words.
7) Unlike the moon, which gives an unfaithful image of the world, the mirror reflects objectively what it sees.
8) The iamb is the most common foot in English peotry and consists of an unstressed syllable followed by a stressed one.
