I'm having a hard time understanding how to fine the Total Area(T.A) for a regular pyramid.

By "regular pyramid" most people understand it to have a square base, and four equal isosceles triangles.

Find the area of one of those triangles, then multiply that by 4

You are probably given the side of the base and the height of the pyramid.
You will need the height of the triangle which becomes the hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle with shorter sides being the height and 1/2 of the base.

Unless you state me the dimensions given I cannot go any further.
