The question which elements would be classified as metals?

Would this include:

metals - other metals and metaloids.

Does metaloids fall under the category of metals - we are to look at the periodic table and list the metals - not sure if this inclds metaloids and other metals

the metals are on the left side of the periodic with the exception of hydrogen (that's a nonmetal). The transition metals are the square thing in between the second column and the column where aluminum starts. the remaining are the nonmetals and the last column are the noble gases.

To determine which elements would be classified as metals, you can refer to the periodic table. In general, metals can be found on the left-hand side of the periodic table.

The metals can be further classified into two categories: main group metals (also known as representative metals) and transition metals. Main group metals include elements such as lithium (Li), sodium (Na), and magnesium (Mg), while transition metals include elements such as iron (Fe), copper (Cu), and gold (Au).

Metalloids, on the other hand, are a subset of elements that have properties intermediate between those of metals and nonmetals. Examples of metalloids include boron (B), silicon (Si), and arsenic (As).

So, to answer your question, when classifying elements as metals, you would include both main group metals and transition metals, but not metalloids.
