T=thickness, V=volume, A=area, m=mass D=density

V=m/D

Suppose T=V/A is a method used to find the thickness. How may this method be used in finding the size of molecules.?

I really need help. Been thinking about it for awhile.

Thanks in advance.

Watch oil spill on water, and spread. After it covers an area A, the oil film (which you can presumably see) will start breaking up. At that point, the film is about one molecule thick. Compute the thickness when that happens. That will be the approximate size of a molecule of the oil
