1. Lydon Johnson's ultimate reaction to public opinion regarding the Vietnam War was to:

A. run on his growing popularity.
B. not seek reelection because he was so popular.
C. admit an error and lower the number of troops in Vietnam.
D. not seek reelection because the war was not popular.

I'm stuck between choices C and D, not sure which one to choose.

Both could be correct, but I lean toward C.

I lean toward D. LBJ did not admit publicly the war was an error, and although he began peace negotiations, he did not reduce the number of troops involved.

yeah I was leaning towards C too because the war was actually popular with some people.

Drwls is probably right.

OK thanks! I'll go with D then.

I've worked with Drwls for about 13 years and he's usually right. :-)

I just always listen to Ms.sue
