1. What are they like?
-They are brave.

2. What is their presonality like?
- They are brave.

(Are the questions and answers right and the same?)

3. It is shaped like a fish.
4. They are shaped like fish.

(Are both grammatical? What is the part of speech of 'shaped' in the sentence?)

1 and 2 are fine, but correct the spelling error in #2.

3 and 4 are fine, too. The words "were shaped" make up the main verb; "were" is the auxiliary (helping) verb.

Thank you for your help.

5. They are shaped like fish.
6. They look like fish.

(Are both the same?)

5 and 6 are similar, but not identical. Fish come in various shapes, but they are still recognizable as fish.

Both sentences 5 and 6 convey a similar meaning, but there is a slight difference in how they express it.

Sentence 5, "They are shaped like fish," implies that the shape of the subject resembles that of a fish. It specifically focuses on the physical shape or structure.

Sentence 6, "They look like fish," has a broader interpretation. It suggests that the subject has similarities or characteristics similar to fish, which can include appearance, behavior, or other qualities, not just the physical shape.

So, while both sentences convey the same general idea, sentence 5 emphasizes the physical shape, while sentence 6 encompasses a broader range of similarities or characteristics with fish.
