A gas is taken though a single process in which its volume decreases by .25 m^3 as the temp of the gas rises 2deg C. Which of the following people are more likely to have reached the correct conclusion?

a. Bob ids this process as adiabatic
b. Jill ids this process as isothermal
c. charles ids this process as isovolumetric
d. more info is needed.

wouldn't it be isothermal because the def of it is:
"a system is in contact with an outside thermal reservoir (heat bath), and the change occurs slowly enough to allow the system to continually adjust to the temperature of the reservoir through heat exchange"

No, if isothermal the temp does not change, even 2 degrees

If you squeeze a gas without allowing any heat to escape to the world beyond, the temp rises. So I would guess Bob.
