Hello,

I am needing help formulating a question for my English class. We are needing to write an ethical/causal argument.

I want to relate it to either animal testing or animal hunting.

Is this a decent one?
"Is it ethical to continue animal experimentation?"
"Is it ethical to allow animal hunting?"

I'm not sure how to word it, but I definitely want to write about animals. Can someone please help me?

Both of your questions can be answered by "yes" or "no." This doesn't lead to writing a good argument.

Try starting your question with "why" or "what if" and see what happens.

Of course! I'd be happy to help you formulate a question for your ethical/causal argument related to animal testing or animal hunting. It's great that you have chosen a topic related to animals. Here are a few revised versions of the questions you provided:

1. "To what extent is it ethically justifiable to continue animal experimentation?"
2. "What are the ethical implications of animal testing and how does it impact scientific progress?"
3. "What are the causal relationships between animal hunting and its environmental, ecological, and ethical consequences?"
4. "How does the ethical validity of animal hunting vary across different cultural, social, and geographical contexts?"

In addition to these examples, you can also explore specific aspects or subtopics within animal testing or animal hunting that you find interesting or important. This will allow you to delve deeper into the complexity of the issue and present a more focused and nuanced argument.
