  1. Leng of path is product of speed and time.

    Leng of path of first train is 33*t

    Leng of path of second train is 38*t

    Sum of that two path must be 284 miles.

    33*t+38*t=71*t
    71*t=284 Divide with 71
    t=284/71= 4 hours
