What are the two topic sentences of this paragraph?

“As I was sewing the top of the pillow, my grandmother mumbled along, her frail voice faltering as she gasped for breath in between disjointed sentences and phrases. She explained the reason for all her tiresome efforts, ‘Ha ke shoele mona, boMalom’ao bat la fihla ba suthisa setopo sa ka ba batla chelete hohle katlung ka mona.’
I cried loudly. Was my Nkhono really going to die? Why did she say that when she was dead, my uncles would put her corpse aside and search for her money all over the house?”

I think they are:

1. Was my Nkhono really going to die?

2.Why did she say that when she was
dead, my uncles would put her corpse
aside and search for her money all
over the house?”

IS THIS RIGHT?

#1 - Paragraphs usually have only one topic sentence each.

#2 - Since this is dialogue, the construction of paragraphs is not the same as in an essay ... no topic sentences since each time the speaker changes, a new paragraph is to begin.

What is your entire assignment regarding this? Where does this dialogue come from? Who is the author?
