history

I have to do a research aper on any topic in American history. One part of history that I enjoy studying is when new inventions came around or when things become more modern (think housewife using vacuum type scenario if you get what I mean) or like when department stores started to take over America. these are just some broad guesses of what I want to do. Can anyone help me think of something that's more specific. I'm not interested in battles or presidents as my topic because I just get confused way too easily... Thanks.

  1. Those would be good.

You might also consider the mass production of automobiles, development of the motion picture industry, advent of radios or telephones, etc.

You could cover the invention itself plus the changes it made in people's lives. Who was put out of work by the introduction of this device?
