If i have a scale factor to enlarge a picture at 11/3, how would i get the scale to get from the big picture to the small picture?

multiply the big dimension by 3/11.

thank you so much

how do scale factors work?!?!?!??!?

what is scale factor

To determine the scale factor to go from the enlarged picture back to the original smaller picture, you need to take the reciprocal of the scale factor.

Recall that the scale factor represents how much the dimensions of the original picture are multiplied by to get the dimensions of the enlarged picture. In this case, the scale factor is 11/3, which means the dimensions of the original picture are multiplied by 11/3 to get the dimensions of the enlarged picture.

To find the scale factor to go from the enlarged picture back to the smaller picture, you need to take the reciprocal of 11/3.

Reciprocal of 11/3 means flipping the fraction upside down, so the denominator becomes the numerator and the numerator becomes the denominator.

So, to find the scale factor to go from the big picture to the small picture, the reciprocal of 11/3 is 3/11.

Thus, the scale factor to go from the enlarged picture back to the original smaller picture is 3/11.
