I think all of your answers are right.

On the first: Go with what you text says, but my experience is that intelligence (IQ) is foremost, however, the answer says "inherited" intelligence, and I know of no instrument that separates inherited factors of intelligence from acquired factors. I know of no reliable instruments that actually measure emotional well-being. So if answer D were intelligence (rather than inherited..), I would go with my experience..answer D. C sounds nice, but I don't know how it can be measured.

Go with your text.

the others are right, IMO.

1. d is not the right answer and i am not too sure about c.

Based on your answers, let's go through each question and see if your choices are correct:

1. Some child psychologists have concluded that ______ is the strongest predictor of both scholastic and career achievement.
Option A: physical illness
Option B: respect for authority
Option C: emotional well-being
Option D: inherited intelligence
Your answer: C. emotional well-being

Explanation: To determine the correct answer, we need to examine the statement carefully. The question asks for the strongest predictor of both scholastic and career achievement. Since physical illness, respect for authority, and emotional well-being are unrelated to scholastic and career achievement, the only option left is D. inherited intelligence. Intelligence has been found to be a strong predictor of success in both academic and professional settings.

2. A child's ability to jump for distance is an example of ______.
Option A: agility
Option B: flexibility
Option C: explosive power
Option D: reaction time
Your answer: C. explosive power

Explanation: To determine the correct answer, we need to consider the context. When a child jumps for distance, it requires a burst of power and force, which aligns with the concept of explosive power. Therefore, your answer of C. explosive power is correct.

3. A child who moved from throwing a ball using only an elbow movement to throwing a ball using her elbow, wrist, and shoulder is showing signs of ______ development.
Option A: intertask
Option B: spatial
Option C: joint-plate
Option D: intratask
Your answer: D. intratask

Explanation: In this question, we are looking for the appropriate term to describe a child's progress in throwing a ball. The notion of "intratask" refers to the development within a single task. It acknowledges the progression from using only the elbow to involving the wrist and shoulder in the throwing motion. Hence, your answer of D. intratask is correct.

4. A teacher requests that a child use a small stepladder to reach a book on a shelf. She is helping the child develop ______.
Option A: primitive reflexes
Option B: movement qualities
Option C: locomotor reflexes
Option D: spatial awareness
Your answer: D. spatial awareness

Explanation: Given the scenario, the teacher's request for the child to use a small stepladder indicates her intention to enhance the child's understanding and perception of space, as well as their ability to navigate within it. Therefore, your answer of D. spatial awareness is correct.

In summary, based on the explanations provided, your answers for questions 1, 2, 3, and 4 are correct.
