There is a pulse returns 3.0x10^-4 seconds after it is sent out, having been reflected by an object. What is needed is the distance between the radar antenna and the object? (c = 3x10^8 m/s)

  1. distance = rate * time
    2d = 3*10^8 * 3*10^-4 = 9 * 10^4
    d = 4.5 * 10^4 meters
