What teacher? There are no adults on this island.

wait then,i am so confused then. The book starts of as them being starnded on the island?I thought that afterwards they get onto the island.Sorry it's just that I have only read the first 5 pages.

No worries! I can help clarify things for you. In "Lord of the Flies," a group of young boys are indeed stranded on a deserted island. There are no adults with them. The story starts with the boys already on the island, and they have to figure out how to survive and create their own society without any adult supervision.

As for your first question, the leader of the choir boys is not their teacher. The choir boys, led by a character named Jack Merridew, are one of the groups of boys on the island. Jack takes charge of the choir boys and later becomes one of the main characters in the story.
