Can you tell me if there is a formula to find out the wind pressure on the sides of a roof in different areas of the roof with different pitches.
Thanks
Nick
1 answer
There is no simple formula. The wind pressure on each facet of the roof would have to be measured experimentally. The total force on the roof will be approximately equal to the projected area exposed to the wind multipled by (1/2)(density)(V^2)
