Determine an equation of the following line.

The line parallel to x+3=0 and passing through (-6, -7)

How would I solve this if there's no y variable? Please help, thanks.

  1. x + 3 = 0 is a vertical line through x = -3 , y = 0
    y can be anything along that line.

    The equation of a parallel vertical line through (-6,-7) would be x = -6
