In finding distance problems i understand the use of formula of d/rt then what i do not understand is the giving solutions in 3 decimal places. Can someone give an example step by step? The answer I do not need it is how to do it? Textbook says use calculator this is where problem is

  1. Three decimal places is the three numbers after the decimal point.

    Examples:

    0.54675 = 0.547
    0.41636 = 0.416

  2. It is not d/rt, but d = rt, translating into distance = rate times time. This may be your problem.

    .001 is three decimal places.

    If you don't know how to use a calculator, do calculations by hand.
