Solve for this

5x^3-13x^2+4x-9
----------------
7x^2+2x- 11

That will not yield a simple monomial answer. Use polynomial long division. There will be a messy remainder term. The first two terms will be

(5/7)x + 2 3/49

Did you make up this question yourself?

One does not usually say "solve for" when writing the ratio of polynomials. You cannot "solve for" x, nor the ratio itself. All you can do is try to simplify it
