16x^4+8x^3+17x^2+8x+1

I have tried it but i keep getting the wrong roots can someone solve this?

    Like so,
    16x^4+8x^3+17x^2+8x+1=0

    g(x)=16x^4+8x^3+17x^2+8x+1

    What are you trying to do? Simplify the equation.

  5. (4 x+1)^2 (x^2+1) is the simplified version

    and x=-1/4
    and x=+i and x=-i
