I am looking for 4 suggestions on how to make team oriented projects more efficent and effective with team members that are located in different area's geographically. I just want suggestions that I could research on and elaberate on.

You have to define efficient and effective first is my suggestion. Get specific, then research techniques.

This is particularly importing in the context of Internet III, whereby document collaboration is allowed in real time, as in Google Documents. The issue I have is when updating documents, as a spreadsheet, it matters when particular columns are updated, and if several folks are doing the updating online, time becomes a critical factor. Google has not solved that yet.
