I am writing an esay on Racism and how it has changed over the years for the blacks. I have to make visuals for my essay. Where would shoudl I go to get information to put on my visuals such as graphs and illustrations?

I don't think you can use graphs. I'd use pictures -- perhaps starting with slavery times. You could use pictures of segregation and the fight for integration. Of course, your last pictures could be of President Obama.

To gather information and visuals for your essay on racism and its changes for black individuals over the years, you have several options:

1. Online databases and research tools: Start by exploring academic databases like JSTOR, Google Scholar, and ProQuest. These platforms provide access to scholarly articles, research papers, and historical studies that discuss racism and its impact on the black community. Look for data, statistics, and graphs that can support your arguments.

2. Government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs): Government bodies like the Census Bureau, Department of Justice, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission often publish reports and data related to racial inequality and discrimination. Additionally, NGOs and civil rights organizations like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), NAACP, and Human Rights Watch provide reliable information on racism and the experiences of black people.

3. Historical archives and libraries: Visit or explore online resources of local, national, or university libraries. Look for archived materials, primary sources, and historical photos that showcase the impact of racism on black communities throughout history. Libraries often have dedicated sections for historical documents and visuals.

4. Social science and research institutes: Many research organizations conduct studies on racial issues and social inequalities. Examples include the Pew Research Center, Urban Institute, and Brookings Institution. These institutes produce reports, studies, and infographics that could provide insightful visuals for your essay.

5. Online infographics and data visualization websites: Platforms like Pinterest, Visual Capitalist, and Datawrapper provide visually appealing infographics and graphics that can represent statistical and historical data effectively. Look for relevant charts, graphs, and illustrations that visually communicate your points.

Remember to cite your sources properly, whether it's a quote, statistic, or visual representation. Academic integrity is critical in creating a credible and well-researched essay.
