I was wondering if someone could check my answer to see if I'm doing this type of tranfomation right. The question is The graph of f(x) =|x| is compressed vertically by a factor or 1/2, then reflected in the x-axis and translated 4 units to the right and 5 units down. Write the equation of the transformed function, y=g(x). the answer I got is y=1/2(x-4)-5.

The reflection off the x axis is negative on the outside, don't forget the absolute value symbol:

-1/2|x-4|-5
