How does a town's economic base determine how the community takes shape?
Please help me.
A town's economic base is the size, number and type of successful businesses it has.
Lots of profitable businesses = a successful and well-funded city
Towns with businesses that employ a lot of skilled labor have a solid middle class -- as was the Detroit area years ago.
