Can anyone please rephrase this. I really can't understand this term.

Rotation symmetry: When a shape or design can be turned about its center of rotation, so it fits onto its outline MORE than once in a complete turn(360 degrees)

I don't understand this. I don't get what rotation symmetry is. Your help will be appreciated, thanks

Rotation symmetry refers to a property of shapes or designs that allows them to be turned around a fixed point, known as the center of rotation. The term "rotation symmetry" can be a bit confusing at first, but it becomes clearer if we break it down.

To understand rotation symmetry, imagine taking a shape and rotating it around a point in a full circle of 360 degrees. If, at some point during the rotation, the shape aligns perfectly with its original position, then it has rotation symmetry.

For example, a square has rotation symmetry because it can be rotated by 90 degrees, 180 degrees, or 270 degrees, and in each case, it will fit onto itself. By contrast, an irregular triangle does not have rotation symmetry because no matter how much you rotate it, it will never fit onto its original shape.

In summary, rotation symmetry means that a shape or design can be turned around a central point in a way that it aligns with its original position multiple times during a complete rotation.
