Why is knowing your audience an important part of capturing and maintaining their attention? What is the impact of culture?

my response: The impact of culture weighs heavily into how you will connect and relate with your audience. Although easy to consider the peer to peer aspects of a presentation, the audiences cultural backgrounds will allow for the audience to take a personal interest in the presentation, provided they can connect on a personal level. Once the speaker has aroused their attention, maintaing that task is as simple as ensuring that the information being provided is relevant to the attention getting statements.
