What are some human's instinct?

Is breathing air count as an instinct? If not what do it count as? since you can't stop breathing.

Humans have several instincts, which are innate and automatic behaviors that help ensure survival and well-being. Here are some examples of human instincts:

1. Survival Instinct: The instinct to prioritize self-preservation and avoid danger or threats.
2. Hunger Instinct: The instinct to seek food when hungry and ensure the body's nutritional needs are met.
3. Thirst Instinct: The instinct to seek water or fluids to maintain proper hydration levels.
4. Fight-or-Flight Instinct: The instinctive response to either confront or escape from perceived threats or dangerous situations.
5. Maternal and Paternal Instincts: The instinctive behaviors related to caring for and protecting one's offspring.
6. Sexuality Instinct: The instinctual drive for sexual attraction, bonding, and reproduction.

As for breathing air, it is not classified as an instinct but rather as a vital physiological process. Breathing is controlled by the respiratory system and regulated by the brainstem. While breathing is automatic and involuntary, it is not considered an instinct because it is necessary for survival and is essential for carrying out other instinctive behaviors. If you were to intentionally hold your breath for an extended period, your body would override your conscious control and trigger a reflexive gasping response to ensure you resume breathing.
