can some one help me with this Find the equation of the line using these two points. (-3,-7) and (-9,-6) it has to be in y-intercept form. this is what i get but it dosent seem right

y=1/6X + 15/2

watch your signs, I got a slope of -1/6

so y = (-1/6)x + b
using (-3,-7)
-7 = (-1/6)(-3) + b
-7 = 1/2 + b
b = -15/2

so
y = (-1/6)x - 15/2

I then sub the point not used in the equation to verify.
for (-9,-6)
LS = -6
RS = (-1/6)(-9) - 15/2
= -12/2
= -6

YEahhh!
