Give the equation of the line that passes through point (1, 2) and is parallel to the line y + 6x -7 = 0.

I have a really have issues trying to figure these out so if I could get a step by step break down on how to solve this it would be great.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Any line parallel to the line y + 6x - 7 = 0 must have the same slope --- m.

The point (x1, y1) is given as (1, 2).

Now use the above equation to find the equation of the line.
