log(1/4)*(x/8), or
log(1/4)*(1/(8x)), or
log((1/4)*(x/8)), or
log((1/4)*(1/(8x))), or
log((1/((4 1/8)x))), [ i.e. fraction] or
log((1/((4 1/(8x)))

Again, extra parentheses don't hurt.
