I am working on a research paper for a course I am taking through Penn Foster. I have to answer several questions but I don't know if I am supposed to write the questions on the report, or just answer them ..you know..using the correct paragraph format; introductory sentence, explanation, concluding sentence, etc. Does anyone know how it should be done? The directions don't really say, and I don't want to look stupid if I write the question within the report. Thanks!

Use your introductory sentence to state the question.

For instance if your question were what is causing climate change, you might begin your answer by saying "Climate change is being caused by a numbers of factors.

In addition if these questions have numbers, be sure to use those numbers in answering the questions.

When working on a research paper, it's important to follow the specific instructions and guidelines provided by your instructor or course materials. However, if the directions do not explicitly state whether you should include the questions in your report, it is generally advisable to write your answers using the correct paragraph format without including the questions.

Typically, research papers follow a specific structure that includes an introductory paragraph, body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph. Each paragraph should focus on a specific point or topic related to the research question. In your case, for each question, you can start with an introductory sentence that provides context or briefly summarizes the question. Then, you can proceed to explain your answer in a well-organized manner, providing evidence, examples, or supporting arguments to back up your statements. Finally, conclude the paragraph by summarizing your main points or providing a concise final thought.

By formatting your answers in this way, you can showcase a clear and cohesive understanding of the topic without the need to repeat the questions within the report. However, it's always a good idea to double-check with your instructor to ensure that you are following their specific requirements for the research paper. Open communication with your instructor can help clarify any uncertainties and ensure that you meet the expectations set for the assignment.
