What effect did the highland clearances and the Irish potato famine have on canada?

The highland clearances and the Irish potato famine had an overwhelming effect on Canada.

Pretend you're an Irish or Scottish farmer who must immigrate. Write a short speech to your village,
explaining why you must leave home.

All you villagers out there, you do not need to worry about my immigration. I will return home very soon after completing my tasks. I must leave home to provide everyone of you with the necessary supplies needed to live with. I could not see you all suffering this pain anymore, so that's why I decided to go out there and mend this problem. I will set things right for everyone, once I make my way home.
Farewell everyone.

Your speech is good! :-)

You haven't really answered WHAT effect these immigrants had on Canada.

The immigrants had an overwhelming effect on Canada. Canada had barely enough room for the immigrants to live in. Shelter was impossible to find in the starting.

As I asked before -- where did you get that information?

Oh, my! Your thought processes deceived you. What does your book say?

Where did you get that information?

Canada is a huge country and still has a sparse population in most areas.

Ladies and gentlemen, my fellow villagers,

It is with a heavy heart and a sense of duty that I stand before you today to share some news. The circumstances we face have become dire, and it is incumbent upon me to make a difficult decision - one that involves leaving our beloved homeland.

As you all know, we have endured great hardships in recent times. The Irish potato famine has left us devastated, with our once-abundant crops decimated by disease and scarcity. Our very survival is at stake, and we can no longer rely on the land that has sustained us for generations.

Moreover, the Highland clearances, those forcible evictions that have displaced so many of our Scottish brothers and sisters, have sent shockwaves through our community. The erosion of traditional livelihoods and the loss of our ancestral homes have left us with few options for a secure future.

In the face of such adversity, it is my duty to seek a better life for all of us. I must venture beyond our familiar borders in search of opportunities that will ensure our collective well-being. Canada beckons, with its promises of fertile lands, abundance, and a chance to rebuild what has been lost.

It is not an easy choice, for I leave behind not only this land that holds our memories but also the bonds of friendship and kinship that have strengthened us throughout the years. But I implore you to understand that my decision is rooted in the desire to provide for each and every one of you, to secure a future where hunger does not loom over our heads.

Know that my departure is not permanent; it is but a temporary sacrifice I must make to pave the way for our communal growth. I will work tirelessly to establish ourselves in this new land and pave the way for those who choose to follow in our footsteps. I will strive to create a place where our people can thrive once again.

I ask for your blessings and your understanding as I embark on this journey. Please support me in this endeavor, and I promise to return as soon as possible, bearing the fruits of our resilience, determination, and hope.

Farewell, my fellow villagers. May the winds guide us to a brighter future, where we can stand together, united and stronger than ever before.

Thank you.

Noooooo!

How on earth can one person emigrating to Canada possibly provide everyone with necessary supplies???

Emigrants left to keep themselves and immediate families from starving.

It was rare for emigrants to return to their homelands.

Oh, I'm very sorry, I wonder what I was thinking of

All you villagers out there, I will have to leave my homeland to survive. If I do not leave then I will eventually die. I need to live for my family, to serve them with whatever they need. If I die today, then tomorrow could be worse for my family. I am making this decision positively, I will have to leave at once. Farewell.

This was the other question:
What effect did the highland clearances and the Irish potato famine have on canada?

The highland clearances and the Irish potato famine had an overwhelming effect on Canada.

I meant that canada hadn't known that such a big population of immigrants weould arrive, so they hadn't organized everything out yet, there wasn't enough shelter to provide the immigrants with.

I just randomly thought about it, I don't think that the immigrants brought in a good effect on Canada as they entered.
