I AM MAKING A GANTT CHART IN MS PROJECT.I CANNOT CHANGE THE START AND FINISHVDATE...IT IS SOMEHOW BLOCKED TO USE THE DROP DOWN MENU . THE TASK TYPE SAYS IT IS A "FIXED DURATION"...i CANNOT CHANGE THAT EITHER.

6. If the Task Type is set to "Fixed Duration," it might also limit your ability to adjust the dates. To change the task type, go to the "General" tab in the Task Information dialog box and select "Fixed Units" or "Fixed Work" from the "Task Type" drop-down menu instead.
7. After making the necessary changes, click "OK" to save the modifications.
Now, you should be able to freely adjust the start and finish dates using the Gantt chart view or the task information dialog box.
