Hy everyone!

I really need some help! I should compare Jane Austen's Sanditon with two other Austen novel: Lady Susan , and Emma.
Can somebody give me some tips, how to do this? or can somebody find me some infos about the books?
I should compare such things like: main Character?, plot?, ending is satisfactory?, quotations....etc.

Please help me!!!!!

Thanks

I think I would start with the setting, and how the main character is placed in that setting. WHat is the main characters delimina, and how does she use her character to resolve it.

Infos? I would read the books, and take notes. Why would you use someone else's notes.

Have fun.

Once you have the books read and your points of comparison pretty much figured out, the following information may help you write your paper.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whenever you are writing a comparison/contrast paper (paragraph, essay, research paper), you need to plan it out very carefully on paper first.
Try this:
1. Write all the information about one of your topics on one page.
2. Write all the information about the other topic on another page.
3. Then put them together in this order:
1. Intro
2. All about topic A
~~~2A. detail 1
~~~2B. detail 2
~~~2C. detail 3
~~~2D. detail 4
~~~2E. detail 5
3. All about topic B
~~~3A. detail 1
~~~3B. detail 2
~~~3C. detail 3
~~~3D. detail 4
~~~3E. detail 5
4. Concl.
The number of details for each topic will vary depending on your main points. I would include comparisons (how they are similar) in the introduction and conclusion, but sections 2 and 3 and all those details will be stating and explaining how they are different.
There are two recognized patterns for writing comparison/contrast papers. One is casually referred to as "zig-zag,” but can be very confusing for the reader if you don’t use transitions effectively. The other is topic-by-topic (which is what I've outlined above) and is much easier for the reader to follow.
Once you have organized your information, please repost if you’d like feedback from someone here.
Hello! I'd be glad to help you compare Jane Austen's "Sanditon" with "Lady Susan" and "Emma." To get started, here's a step-by-step guide on how to approach this task:
1. Read the novels: Begin by reading all three novels— "Sanditon," "Lady Susan," and "Emma." Familiarize yourself with the main characters, plotlines, endings, and notable quotations from each book.
2. Identify main characters: Make a list of the main characters from each novel. Consider their personalities, motivations, and how they interact within the story.
3. Compare the main characters: Look for similarities and differences between the main characters of the three novels. Are they similar in terms of virtues, flaws, or character development? Are there any contrasting characteristics that set them apart?
4. Analyze the plot: Examine the plots of each novel. What are the main events and conflicts that drive the story forward? Do any of the novels share similar plot structures or themes? Are there any contrasting elements in the plotlines?
5. Compare the endings: Assess whether the endings of the three novels are satisfactory. Does the resolution feel complete and satisfying to the reader? Look for similarities or differences in how the author wraps up each story.
6. Examine quotations: Look for memorable quotations in each novel. Analyze their significance, themes, or the author's purpose in including them. Note if any quotes from different novels share similar themes or ideas.
7. Organize your findings: Create an outline or a chart to note down your comparisons. You can use categories such as main characters, plot, ending, and quotations.
8. Draw conclusions: Based on your comparisons, form conclusions about the similarities and differences between the three novels. Consider how these elements contribute to each novel's unique characteristics and themes.
When searching for information about the books, you can turn to various resources, such as:
- Literature guides and literary analysis books that discuss Jane Austen's works.
- Academic databases, such as JSTOR or Project MUSE, for scholarly articles or book chapters focused on analyzing Austen novels.
- Online book summaries or study guides that provide in-depth analysis of each novel.
- The Austen societies or fan websites that may offer valuable insights and discussions about the similarities and differences in Austen's works.
Remember, exploring these novels and making your own observations is an essential part of the process. Good luck with your comparison!
