I have to write an expository essay on Phoebe Winterbottom, from Walk Two Moons, analyzing her character. This is what I have:

Pheobe Winterbottom is a nervous girl who receives mysterious messages, meets a “lunatic”, and whose mother goes away in the novel Walk Two Moons. Phoebe is both nervous and careless: she gets angry at her mother’s affection, she refuses to eat food at a friend's house, and she suspects the people around her are sinister and dangerous beings.
Mrs.Winterbottom, Pheobe’s mother, is a loving and gentle woman who can not shake off a deep sense of shortcoming next to her devoted husband. Mrs.Winterbottom doesn’t like how her family ignores her, especially Pheobe, so one day she disappears, leaving only a small explanation that is of no help. Phoebe feels certain she has been kidnapped and begins an obsessive investigation for clues. After she gathers some information and clues, Phoebe rushes over to the police office to offer them the meager evidence her and Sal have collected. At the police station, Sal and Pheobe see a picture of the boy they have been calling the lunatic; he has visited the Winterbottom house before, asking for Pheobe’s mom. The two girls find out what college he goes to and go there to see him but on campus, they find the lunatic and Mrs. Winterbottom sitting on a bench, holding hands. Pheobe is shocked and goes away.

Mrs. Winterbottom returns home a few days later and explains to her family that the lunatic is actually her illicit son, about whom she couldn’t tell her family out of fear. The Winterbottoms are shaken, but ready to listen to Mrs. Winterbottom. At the end of the story, Phoebe is shocked by the news Mrs.Winterbottom brings, but despite her first horror, tries to work harder to understand and accept her mother for who she really is.

Do you have to do this for connexus?

Your analysis of Phoebe Winterbottom's character is a good start to your expository essay. It provides some insight into her behavior and the events that shape her throughout the novel. However, to further analyze her character, you might consider delving deeper into her motivations, her relationships with other characters, and how she evolves or changes over the course of the story. Here are a few suggestions to expand upon your analysis:

1. Motivations and fears: Explore why Phoebe is so nervous and fearful. Does she have underlying anxieties or insecurities? How do these fears manifest in her everyday life and how do they drive her actions?

2. Relationships and dynamics: Examine Phoebe's relationships with her family, friends, and other characters in the story. How does her relationship with her mother, in particular, impact her behavior and choices? Does she have any significant friendships or conflicts that contribute to her development?

3. Growth and change: Analyze how Phoebe evolves throughout the novel. Does she learn any important life lessons or gain new perspectives? What experiences or events prompt her to reassess her initial assumptions and perceptions? How does her journey contribute to her character development?

4. Symbolism and themes: Consider any symbols or recurring themes associated with Phoebe's character. For example, her obsession with mysterious messages and her belief in the presence of sinister beings may reflect a broader theme of searching for truth or struggling with paranoia. Explore how these symbols and themes contribute to a deeper understanding of Phoebe's character.

By incorporating these elements into your analysis, you can create a more comprehensive and insightful expository essay on Phoebe Winterbottom's character in "Walk Two Moons." Remember to support your analysis with specific examples and evidence from the novel to strengthen your arguments.

You seem to have written a good summary of the story, but haven't said much about Phoebe's character.
