DrBob222- I didn't get any answers from you? I looked but didn't see anything. Can you redo it maybe? Please and Thank You!

Adam -- your question and DrBob's answer are five threads below this one.

1. Tums - The active ingredient in Tums is indeed calcium carbonate, so that answer is correct.

2. Vitamin C - The chemical name for Vitamin C is ascorbic acid, so that answer is also correct.
3. Nail Polish remover - The main active ingredient in nail polish remover is indeed acetone, so that answer is correct.
4. Coca Cola Pop - The correct answer for Coca Cola Pop would be phosphoric acid, which is used to give the drink its tangy flavor. Carbonic acid and sodium bicarbonate are not the active ingredients in Coca Cola Pop.
5. Cream of tartar - The chemical name for cream of tartar is potassium hydrogen tartarate or potassium bitartrate, so that answer is correct.
6. Calamine lotion - The active ingredient in calamine lotion is usually zinc oxide, so that answer is correct.
7. Lemon juice - The main acid in lemon juice is indeed citric acid, so that answer is correct.
8. Table salt - The chemical name for table salt is sodium chloride, so that answer is correct.
9. Fruit Punch Juice (or fruit juice) - The correct name for water is dihydrogen oxide, but it is not the active ingredient in fruit punch or fruit juice. Fruit juices contain a mixture of several compounds such as sugars, acids, and vitamins, depending on the specific fruit. So dihydrogen oxide is not the correct answer for this question.
10. Baking soda - The chemical name for baking soda is sodium bicarbonate, so that answer is correct.
11. Coffee (caffeine) - The correct chemical name for caffeine is 1,3,7-trimethylxanthine, so that answer is correct.

Therefore, most of your answers are correct, except for question 4 (Coca Cola Pop) and question 9 (Fruit Punch Juice or fruit juice).
