What is a good way to start off my introduction for a biographical sketch?

But it has to be in narrative form.

the biographical sketch has to be about ME.

Start the introduction with something that will grab the reader. It could be an unusual or very important fact about that person. For instance, an article I read recently about Michelle Obama began something like this.

Michelle Obama's great great grandfather lived in a small white cabin as a slave on a plantation.

Then pick an especially important or unusual fact about YOU.

June 14, 1994, the day I was born, changed my mother's life.

would that be a goood introductionn??

start off your introduction with something interesting that no one knows about you.

for ex. I would start mine off with something like this:

Hello, my name is Anna, and I love travelling to exotic locations.

You could start it that way. But consider highlighting the most exotic location you've seen. Then tie that in with the rest of your essay.

For instance, I might say --

The awe-inspiring Egyptian Pyramids brought home to me the greatness of human ingenuity.

Here is another example:

Hello my name is Anna, and the day I was born which was June 14, 1994, changed my mom's life completely. She is lucky to have me as I am lucky to have her. She has given me all the happiness I could have ever asked for.

Hello, my name is Anna, and I love travelling to exotic locations, such as Paris, London, etc. I love London because of its awesome boutiques.

I like your second one better.

the one that is last?
