My school is taking a trip to Germany next summer and I was wanting to learn German, but no one around me offers lessons or classes. Can anyone recommend something? Plus Imy friend is taking in a German exchange student sometime soon and I want to learn just some basic stuff so I can communicate with him/her.
Does anyone know of a site or a software that could help me?

The German exchange student who is visiting your friend probably speaks English quite well, but it is always nice and usually appreciated when you make the effort to speak their language also.

I recommend trying out language learning software and apps such as Duolingo or Rosetta Stone. Additionally, you may find videos on YouTube that can teach you basic German phrases, and websites like iTalki or Preply, where you can book one-on-one classes with native speakers.
Don't forget that the German exchange student will most likely speak English, but putting in an effort to learn and speak their language will be greatly appreciated.
