a container is filled with 56 litres of pineapple juice. 8 litres of pineapple juice are extracted and the container is refilled with mango juice. the content of the container is thoroughly mixed and 8 litres of the mixture are extracted and the container is again refilled with mango juice. what is the ratio of mango juice to pineapple juice in the final mixture?

  1. mj:pj (mango juice : pineapple juice) L=liters
    8:56-8 (as 8L of pj taken out and 8L of mj added )
    8:48 = 1:6 (1 part of mj 6 part of pj)
    when 8L taken out of the new mixture this 8L will contain
    mj:pj = 8*(1/7):8*(6/7)= 8/7:48/7
    so 8L of this taken out from original 8-8/7:48-48/7
    then 8L of mj added so 8-8/7+8:48-48/7 =104:288= 13:36
