What if there are no parentheses in this problem: 2*10/5+6?

If there are no parentheses, then we don't really know how to read the problem.

My first thought is to read it as 20/11.

In algebra 1 it is easy to think of it as Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract or PEMDAS and you do your problems in that order.

If there are no parentheses in the expression 2*10/5+6, we need to follow the order of operations, also known as PEMDAS. PEMDAS stands for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division (from left to right), and Addition and Subtraction (from left to right).

To solve the expression, start with any multiplication or division first. In this case, we have 2*10/5. Multiply 2 by 10 to get 20, then divide 20 by 5 to get 4.

So now the expression becomes 4+6. Moving on to addition, simply add 4 and 6 together to get the final answer, which is 10.
