  3. Spacing is a problem with these boards; therefore, we can't draw structures, lewis dot structures, etc. If you will name the compound or describe it someway, I may be able to find the resonance structures on the web.

    well I believe its a cyclopentdiene

    the number is going from the right the 1 is a oxygen and the 3 is CH+ and the double bond is located between 4 and 5

  7. I can't draw any of the structures, of course; however, shift the double bond from its present position to the bottom (counting O as #1 position and going clockwise) between C2 and C3. Remove the + sign from C3 (where it now resides) and place the + charge on C5. Check my thinking. Moving the double bond then to C2-3 do likewise. You will need to count the charges to see where the + sign resides. Continue in this fashion until you get back to the original structure. Don't neglect placing a charge on the O if that is needed.

    I have copied the two jpg images to this page. Actually, I meant for the double bond to be between the lower C atoms.
