thanks for the help earlier

just got a question

I'm taking AP Physics B this year

does that mean next year I would Take AP Physics C???

I don't know if the material in C convers the same material plus the additional calculus material or what???

Could I take AP Calculus while taking AP Physics C at the same time and still understand AP Physics C???

You're welcome! I'm glad I could help you before, and I'd be happy to assist you with your new question.

AP Physics C is indeed the next level after AP Physics B, but it is not mandatory to take Physics C after B. The AP Physics C curriculum focuses on both mechanics and electricity & magnetism, and it incorporates calculus. In comparison, AP Physics B covers a broader range of topics but does not include calculus.

To understand AP Physics C effectively, a good understanding of calculus is crucial. Many of the concepts in Physics C are expressed using calculus equations, and while some of these concepts may be introduced in the course, it is highly recommended to have a solid foundation in calculus before taking AP Physics C.

If you haven't taken calculus yet, you have a few options. You can take calculus concurrently with AP Physics C, as you suggested. This approach requires a lot of dedication and hard work, as you will need to understand both the calculus material and apply it to physics problems simultaneously. However, it can be done with proper time management and a willingness to put in the effort.

Alternatively, you can choose to take calculus before or after AP Physics C. Taking calculus before AP Physics C will give you a strong foundation in the math concepts needed for the course. On the other hand, taking calculus after AP Physics C can help reinforce your understanding of the mathematical principles applied in physics.

Ultimately, the decision depends on your comfort level with math and how confident you feel in your ability to learn and apply calculus concepts. It's essential to talk to your guidance counselor or physics teacher to discuss your options and get their advice based on your specific situation and abilities.

Remember, while taking both AP Physics C and AP Calculus together can be challenging, it is achievable by dedicating enough time and effort to both subjects.
